Rozhin Derakhshandeh is a PhD student in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. She received her B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran and has recently joined Purdue University as a research assistant in Fall 2019. Her research focuses on flow dynamics analysis in cardiovascular systems using particle image velocimetry (PIV) and ultrasound imaging, as well as clinical image processing, in order to develop physics-based techniques for clinical diagnosis. She also has research interests in experimental fluid dynamics, biofluid dynamics, particle image velocimetry, micro/nano-particle image velocimetry, signal processing, image processing, and clinical imaging.
